Hip Hip Hooray… It's My Birthday!

I’ve always adored birthdays!  People keeps telling me that at some point they stop being fun… but I’m quite certain that if I live to be a hundred I will still be celebrating the gift of life with a heart of gratitude.  This birthday is particularly meaningful to me because it is the very last year of my twenties.  I have reached a point in my life where I realize that life is a precious gift meant to be celebrated each and every day… and that is exactly what I intend to do!  In an effort to document the countdown to my thirties and to remind myself to make every day amazing, I will be beginning a photo diary ( see Photo of the Day tab).  I am excited to share this next year with all of you!

This has basically been the best birthday EVER!  My super sneaking hubby secretly arranged for one of my very dearest friends to fly down for the week.  I moved over 1000 miles away from her last August, and I have truly missed our many adventures.  Fashion shows have always been something we have done together, so my husband sent us to a day of Miami Fashion Week.

It has been positively lovely soaking up the sunshine and catching up with my beautiful friend.  Her visit was such a perfect surprise, and I am grateful for all the effort that was put into making my 29th birthday such an incredible day.  I am blessed beyond measure to have so many positive and loving individuals in my life. 

Of course, no birthday is complete without a fun outfit!  I am in love with this vintage-inspired dress from the new Tory Burch summer line.
