Home For The Holidays // Favorite Decor Items Of The Season

While I enjoy preparing our little home for each new season, there is something uniquely magical about Christmas decor!  Some new additions were added to our holiday decor this year that are simply too lovely not to share.

This 30" Classic Cranberry Christmas Wreath from Tree Classics includes realistic berries in a vivacious red hues that are sure to fill our guests with holiday cheer.  I love the generous size of this festive wreath.  It is sure to be a favorite in our household for years to come.

A "Merry Christmas" mat from Everything Door Mats added a welcoming touch.
I loved the optional Scrollwork Outdoor Tray which keeps this mat in place.

These Ruffle Top Burlap Christmas Stockings from Jubilee Homespun Fabric are the perfect canvas for crafters or can be hung exactly as they are (as I chose to do).  These stockings are very well made with finished and secure seams and hems.  At 18" tall, these will hold lots of goodies on Christmas morning!
I hung these from our DIY Pallet Christmas Stocking Rack.

This Holiday Sleigh Centerpiece from Harry & David, filled with fragrant mobil fir and Western cedar, adds a nostalgic and aromatic touch to your holiday table.  The skillfully handcrafted keepsake sleigh shows off the fresh holly and faux berries beautifully.  It's a table centerpiece that will give weeks of pleasure this season and can be refilled in years to come.

This 48" Burlap Natural Ruffled Tree Skirt from Wild Orchid Quilts was the perfect finishing touch to our tree this year.  This is ideal for use with an artificial or real Christmas tree.

I immediately fell in love with the Winterberry Dinnerware Collection by Pfaltzgaff.
This set has holly leaves and bright red berries that are accented with raised details and a green rim.
The fact that they are microwave and dishwasher safe make them even more amazing.

Aside from the 16 piece dinnerware set, I also have included the matching candy dish.

Christmas Gift Inspiration // Tea Time With Friends

Nothing makes Miss Cupcake happier than putting on a frilly dress!  She was so delighted when I suggested we have evening tea by the Christmas tree.  We used her Classic Wooden Tea Set from Toys To Grow On.  This set is beyond adorable and includes 25 high quality wooden pieces. Miss Cupcake's favorite feature is the cake and chocolate roll which can be "cut" with the wooden knife.  Hours of fun have been spent with this lovely tea set!

It isn't a party unless you can share tea with a friend!  We invited Emme to join in on the fun.  Emme is a beautiful, multicultural brunette.  She showed up to the party wearing her hair loose, tied with a polka dot sheer bandana.   We loved her fringy top, polka dot leggings, and black shiny boots.  This 18" doll is velvety soft!

Emme and many other adorable dolls can be found at GirlsNDollz.
Their message is just as amazing as their dolls:

Be Confident!
Be Happy!
Be You!

Grand Opening of West Palm Beach Versona & GIVEAWAY

I was graciously invited to be a guest at the grand opening celebration of Versona in the Marketplace of the West Palm Beach Outlets.  Versona is an exclusive women's boutique offering apparel and accessories at exceptional prices every day.  The moment I stepped foot inside this store I was surrounded with gorgeous displays of trendy jewelry and accessories.  It was truly a sparkly paradise!

Since I was originally under the impression that this was primarily an accessory store, I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of clothing that was available... everything from faux leather jackets to cozy sweater dresses.

Of course, I had to bring home some goodies!  This nude handbag is going to go with basically everything in my my closet and has several compartments for storing all my mommy essentials.  After searching through the many amazing scarves available, I finally chose a ridiculously soft lilac scarf.  I also decided that I needed one more pair of sunglasses.

Versona is giving away large totes and compact mirrors to the 500 first guests at the West Palm Beach location who spend $50 (last I checked, this was still available) so hurry!

Color Bock & Leather Booties // What I Wore

Not every outfit needs to be extreme.
Some days simply require casual and comfortable.
I recently wore this relaxed fit classic striped color block blouse from Oasap, a trendy online store packed full of affordable fashion.  This was ideal for a casual day of shopping with Miss Cupcake.
This blouse is available in navy, grey, and green (as pictured) and navy, grey, and red.
Many more items from this store will be popping up on the blog in the near future!

I paired this color block blouse with basic jeans and Italian leather booties by my all-time favorite high-end shoe brand.  Alberto Fermani shoes and boots are known for their amazing comfort, clean lines, expert detailing, and refined designs.  There are really not words to express how in love I am with these booties!

Business Attire // What I Wore

In preparation for my upcoming internship I have been attempting to add business attire to my wordrobe.  This charcoal and black tailored shawl jacket from Lyssé was the perfect way to pull together my outfit in a comfortable and fashionable way.  The lightweight fabric is ideal for South Florida winters and is versatile enough to wear with a dress or jeans!  This lovely shawl jacket is available in black with vegan leather piping or charcoal with satan piping (as pictured).

This pencil skirt was a custom design from No. 2 Skirts.  I struggle to find skirts that fit me properly, so I was excited to wear one that was made just for me!  This website allows you to enter your exact measurements and design a skirt to meet your specific needs.  They cut the fabric that you select, sew it together, and deliver your custom skirt.  I am beyond happy to finally have a skirt that fits me perfectly.

'Tis The Season... for a GIVEAWAY!

Miss Cupcake is thrilled to announce that the Christmas season has officially begun here at Skinny Latte Mommy.  We decided to decorate our little home a bit early this year due the fact that we will be traveling a substantial amount during the holidays.  Miss Cupcake was positively overjoyed about the arrival of our Christmas tree.  My dear hubby and I spent a lovely evening listening to festive carols, munching on warm cookies, and decorating with our little love.  She placed the ornaments on the branches with great care and was obviously quite proud of the finished product.

Of course, an evening full of family fun requires comfy and cute accessories.  Miss Cupcake wore an adorable wrap bracelet from the Little Miss Zoe collection at Calinana. This piece of child-friendly jewelry can also be used as a necklace.

Miss Cupcake adores her soft, cozy moccasins and so do I.  When I first stumbled across these adorable moccasins from Freshly Picked it was love at first sight.  There really are not words to express how obsessed I am with these!  I can not stop sneaking back to the website to check out all the amazing colors that are available.

'Tis the season for giveaways!

DIY Pallet Stocking Rack

"The stockings were hung by the chimney with care in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there."

Unfortunately, we have no chimney or mantel in our current home.
This year I decided to attempt my very first pallet project- a rustic rack to display our new burlap stockings from

My dear hubby brought home this pallet per my request.
He graciously agreed to lend a helping hand in the creation of this Christmas stocking rack.

We began by cutting the pallet to our desired width and removing the boards from the back side of the pallet.
All loose nails were either removed or pounded in to create a smooth surface.

We set to work sanding the rather rough wood to smooth it out and remove any splintery edges.
(Ouch!  I got a huge splinter in the process.)
While this can be done by hand, we chose to use an electric sander which sped up the process substantually.

Three knobs were then attached to the pallet.

We used Minwax PolyShades stain and polyurethane spray in Antique Walnut Satin to stain the pallet to a more suitable color.  This was my first time using a spray stain, and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was to apply.

We were quite pleased with the finished product!
I can hardly wait to see how this is going to look next to our Christmas tree (coming soon)!

Happy Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!"

Wyatt Lily // What Miss Cupcake Wore

Miss Cupcake may only be two, but she has definate opinions about fashion!  She often has special requests of what she would like to wear for the day and wont leave the house without accessories.  Today she wore a stylish and cozy sweater from Wyatt Lily.  This NYC based boutique carries a wide selection of couture items for babies and children.

While it is still quite toasty in South Florida, Miss Cupcake took advantage of a cool day and wore here new sweater.  The details on this sweater, such as the cute green patch elbows, made it unique and trendy.  I love the fact that this lovely item is not only fashionable but quite functional as well. She was able to comfortably move around and play in this sweater (perhaps a bit too well since our photo session turned into a lively game of "catch me if you can").  This adorable sweater is exclusively sold at  Wyatt Lily as it is part of the signature line.

For those like myself who do not live in NYC, Wyatt Lily offers many items online.
They even provide customers with personal shopping over the phone.

Be sure to LIKE Wyatt Lily on Facebook to stay informed on new products and promotions.

Custom Fit & Animal Print // What I Wore

A few weeks ago, I stumbled across PIOL and was immediately excited about the custom dress options that were available.   PIOL dresses are created by first entering the color of your hair, eyes, and skin to identify what color tones are best suited for you.  Every single aspect of this dress was designed per my specifications- the neckline, sleeves, style, length, and fabric.  I entered my measurements to ensure a perfect fit.

The moment I tried this dress on I became a believer in this company.  Not only was the fit impeccable, but the vibrant color and high quality material surpassed expectations.  I highly recommend that you take a peak at PIOL the next time you need a dress for an event.
I wore custom earrings with this outfit that were made per my specifications by Jewlr.  It such a pleasant experience to customizing these sparkly earrings!  This company allows the customers to choose the style, material, and stone in order for the perfect jewelry to be created to meet everyone's unique taste.  I am wearing the sterling silver Filigree Trimmed Princess Cute Earrings with gorgeous white Swarovski Zirconia stones.

I have been eyeing several lovely pieces from Jewlr that I hope to add to my collection in the future.
This is the perfect place to look for holiday gifts!
These animal print wedge shoes are from Just Fab, an interactive online shoe store that provides suggested shoes each month based on your personal preferences.  I have several shoes from this website and love every single pair!

Trick-or-Treat // What Miss Cupcake Wore

This was the first year that Miss Cupcake really understood the concept of trick-or-treating.
As a paranoid mamma, I felt more comfortable allowing her to collect candy at a local mall than the streets.
We had such a lovely evening together and made many wonderful family memories.

Miss Cupcake was the most gorgeous baby peacock that I have ever laid eyes on! She wore this lovely dress, sash, and headpiece from Snuggle Luv. I am never disappointed with the clothing and accessories that I receive from this fun online boutique.  I can hardly wait to find my little love a Christmas outfit from Snuggle Luv! She received oodles of compliments and -most importantly- she happily exclaimed "I am gorgeous" when she caught a glimpse of her reflection in the mirror.  This precious costume certainly made our Halloween picture perfect.

While I opted out of a full costume this year, I decided to stick with the peacock theme.  I wore a royal blue lace overlay dress along with a feathered headband.  Miss Cupcake giggled gleefully when she saw that mommy was wearing feathers just like her.  I treasure these little mommy/daughter moments that we share!
All the candy gathering can be quite exhausting when you are two!  After bolting around and indulging on lollipops (a very rare treat in our family), Miss Cupcake laid dramatically on the sidewalk and proclaimed, "The baby is tired!"
Miss Cupcake woke up the next morning and announced that she wanted to do Halloween again.
What did your little loves dress up as this year?
