Planning your day at SeaWorld Orlando

We always enjoy our visits to SeaWorld Orlando! Planning your day is key to getting in as many of the attractions as possible.  Keep in mind that it is best to to arrive at each theater 10-30 minutes prior to the indicated show time, depending upon how busy the park appears, to ensure seating together with your family.

See photos from our first family visit HERE.

About the rides
SeaWorld's rides are generally best to get done first thing in the morning to avoid the mid-day rush. The park's longest lines are typically at its newest attraction, Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin.  This is a rather short dark ride followed by a visit to the park's penguin habitat.  Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin may not be a favorite among young children due to the lengthy wait, frigid temperatures, and darkness.

If you plan to visit Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin, it is best to start your day there.  Your next stops should probably be the following:
  • Manta
  • Kraken
  • Journey to Atlantis
Be aware that you may get soaking wet during the Journey to Atlantis ride.
Rides and attractions for small children, such as the carousel, are easy to access at any point in your day.

Dogs and cats, ducks and doves, potbellied pigs and more star in this cute show! Pets Ahoy® is sure to be a hit with young children.  It is amazing to experience the wonderful connections that happen when animal trainers turn their attention toward these ordinary animals.  I love that all of the animals used are rescues.
